Beggar Boy Kneels In Market Fair Seeking Money To Pay For Medical Needs Of Mother.
The beggar boy kneeling on the ground in a market fair, had before him a large sheet of paper on which was hand-written an appeal for financial support, to pay for the medical needs of his mother. The beggar boy was having the support of many visitors to the town market, as medical care in the country has to be paid for by the patient or families. In many countries a beggar boy seeking help for the medical needs of his mother, would not be seen, as such costs are borne by the government. At this time, such a provision was not available to this beggar boy, and part if not all of the responsibilty for the care of his mother would be borne by him.

What must a doctor do when a patient arrives in his hospital needing medical attention, but without the money to pay for the services required. In one hospital, in a countryside town, a father brought in a young boy who was seriously ill. The hospital required money before any of the urgent treatment needed could be started. The urgent pleas of the father were rejected. It was the doctors themselves who gave enough money between them, so that the seriously ill boy could have the much needed medical attention.
** Begging or panhandling is to request a donation in a supplicating manner. Beggars are commonly found in public places, such as street corners or public transport, where they request money such as spare change. They may use cups, boxes or hats to receive the donations. **Src: Wikipedia.org |
