Town Fairs And Town Markets Always Attract Attention Of People In China.
Fairs in town markets are just the place to find a bargain or to attempt to win a prize at the shooting range, the hoopla stall, or even with a shot at bagatelle. Near the entrance to the town fair in Dengfeng a Chinese women held a bunch of colorful balloons in her hands, all gas filled so they seemed to be attempting to escape! A young boy stood behind her gazing up at the colorful balloons, and perhaps deciding which of the balloons he would buy. Next to the woman with the balloons, there was a table on which a large lump of cooked meats was exposed to everything that might be floating in the air. Uncovered meats are often seen on stalls in town markets and fairs, but this seems not to concern the buyers. The health and safety officials in the UK would be unlikely to let this continue in British markets and shops.

The people attending the town market fair were certainly enjoying their visit, and it is understood that this particular town fair is an annual event. The town fair attracts the people to the market, and then some of the people buy the goods and produce on sale on the market stalls. Many of the stalls in the town market sell items that are grown or made locally.
** A fair is a gathering of people to display or trade produce or other goods, to parade or display animals and often to enjoy associated carnival or funfair entertainment. Activities at fairs vary widely. Some are important showcases for businessmen in agricultural, pastoral or horticultural districts because they present opportunities to display and demonstrate the latest machinery on the market. ** Src: Wikipedia.org |
