Children In Africa Pictures With Members of a Niger family and Doctor Zhong in front of a mud-brick house with thatched roof.![]() sh-n-0060
When we went to visit the small village in the desert, Agadezi, the people in the village all came out to see us. The children in these children of Africa pictures seemed to like me, except for one young boy, aged about 2 years. I think he was frightened by the foreign face and strange colored skin, so he cried. His mother brought him to me and said to him, ''This is a Chinese Doctor, look carefully at him and do not forget that you have seen him."
In the larger towns the children would shout, ''Chinese Doctor! Chinese Doctor! Chinese Doctor!'' whenever I cycled through the streets, but perhaps the children in the Niger towns were more used to seeing strange looking foreigners.
''''' Mudbricks A mudbrick is an unfired brick made of clay, or mud mixed with a binding material such as rice husks or straw. In warm regions with little timber available to fuel a kiln, bricks were generally sun dried. This had the result that their useful lifespan is reduced to around thirty years. Once a building collapsed, new bricks would have to be made and the new structure rebuilt on top of the rubble of the decayed old brick. This phenomenon is the primary factor behind the mounds or tells on which many ancient cities stand. Src: Wikipedia.org. ''''' |
