Pictures Of Mountain Tea Resort and Tree Root Furniture In Restaurant.

The Holiday Tea Resort, another site visited during our stay in Long Ying, was well named, and had all that was needed for a mountain holiday with a difference.

We had tea in a restaurant where all the tables and chairs were of tree roots; the tea was very expensive, we bought ''two tea bags'' for £16 ! It is said that the older the tea, then the better the taste, but maybe it is a quality that the occasional drinker would not appreciate.

Almost every where you looked at the Mountain Tea Resort, there were signs of tea growing amongst the trees and hills nearby. Whether it is the type of tea being grown in the area, or the type of soil in which the tea is planted, that makes this source of Chinese Tea have its own unique flavour, are amongst the possibilities. From the sight of the many tea bushes we saw during our visit, it is evident that they are well cared for and much valued.


The holiday resort up in the mountains might well have attracted visitors from Long Ying, to stay there, because of its association with a special blend of Chinese Tea, but there were other appealing features to make a visit worthwhile. There were all the surrounding mountains to explore; a very large open air swimming baths, and amongst the attractions was a chain suspension bridge to cross. Perhaps it is worth mentioning that the sound of moving traffic is very seldom heard!
